Clinical Rotations Site Locations

杏吧原创鈥檚 Physician Assistant program is based in New York State, and the majority of clinical rotation sites are located within the state. Currently, 94% of our secured Supervised Clinical Practice Experience (SCPE) sites are in New York, with over half located within 50 miles of campus.

While the program will consider student preferences for geographic location, placement in any specific location is not guaranteed. Students must be prepared to travel for any and all required clinical rotations. Students may be required to complete up to all clinical rotation assignments outside of their preferred geographic location, including assignments that require temporary relocation. There are no minimum or maximum distance or mileage restrictions for clinical rotation assignments.

Students are solely responsible for securing and financing their own transportation, housing, and all travel-related expenses associated with clinical rotations, including those requiring temporary relocation. Students must maintain reliable transportation and comply with all site-specific requirements, schedules, and expectations, regardless of location or distance from their primary residence.

Additional costs may be incurred related to travel, housing, and other living expenses during the clinical year. We encourage prospective students to consider these potential expenses as they plan for their education.

Health & Counseling Services

Due to regulations related to state licensure laws, 杏吧原创 Health and Counseling Services is unable to provide direct healthcare or counseling services to students who are physically located outside of New York State.

However, 杏吧原创 is committed to supporting the well-being of all students, regardless of location. Our Health and Counseling Services team will assist out-of-state students in identifying and connecting with appropriate healthcare and mental health providers in their current state of residence.

If you are an out-of-state student seeking support, please contact Health and Counseling Services for assistance in navigating local resources.

Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program鈥檚 ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation-Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class.

Policies & Handbooks

  • Physician Assistant Student Handbook
  • Physician Assistant Clinical Education Student Handbook
  • Immunization and Health Screening Policy {A3.07a}
  • Note: Students are not required to provide or solicit clinical sites or preceptors. The program is responsible for the scheduling of all clinical sites and preceptors {A3.03}.
  • Access to Adult Participants for Clinical Skills Practice:聽Students enrolled in the program are expected to regularly practice and demonstrate essential clinical skills, including but not limited to history-taking, patient education, and physical examination techniques. To meet these educational requirements, students must have ongoing access to an adult participant (e.g., a friend, coworker, neighbor, family member, or partner) who is willing to serve as a participant for skills practice and recorded demonstrations. Students are responsible for identifying and arranging access to such individuals outside of scheduled class or laboratory sessions, as needed.
