How would you rate Faith Academy?
Faith Academy has changed very much since the last person's review. Google says our cafeteria is also our gym, which isn't true. The campus has three divisions and a large staff. It has two pools, three fields, a multipurpose theater (proscenium theater), three science labs, lots of meeting halls, and many different kinds of classrooms. It's AP accredited, ACSC certified, and has won best sports program of year for two years in a row now. The most racism you're getting out of this school is implicit bias and that's it. The Christian education here is very respectful and well taught (we do systematic theology in HS). Teachers genuinely care for their students here, and some are way overqualified to be teaching here! It started as a school for missionaries' kids, and now caters to local Philippine ministers' kids and in some exceptions, the Filipino rich. I would say the worst part of Faith Academy as of 2025 is the rich kids. Bullying is almost non-existent (I say almost because the rich kids are the exceptions in more than one way iykyk). Otherwise, Faith is still a great school! It would be perfect if the rich kids were actually christian too.
This is a Christian school created to educate the children of missionaries from around the world serving in SE Asia (Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, India, and New Guinea). I attended from the late '70s to the mid '80's. I attended for 5 years. My first couple of years were alright, but then it went downhill from there. At that point I learned that this school could care less about students and their families when it comes to what the school wants. I learned that decisions were made internally without ever seeking the perspective of the student(s) or parents. I learned that when there were accusations, punishment was decided on without even bothering to confirm if the accused was guilty. If I ever had a work assignment in the Philippines, I would never let them attend this school.
